Where’s the real justice when the “protectors” are the predators?
Former NYPD officers Julio Alcantara-Santiago (40) and Christian Garcia (32) were sentenced to straight probation for raping an unconscious woman after a night out at a Bronx bar back in July 2023. No jail time — just a soft landing.
- Alcantara-Santiago: 6 years sex offender probation.
- Garcia: 1 year probation + some “behavioral treatment” program.
The victim woke up mid-assault in a stranger’s apartment, terrified to move or speak in case they killed her. She played dead while these men violated her. Three years of trauma, pretending to be strong for her kids — now she says every time she hears their names, it’s nothing but anger and rage.
These were the guys sworn to “serve and protect” — but they preyed on a vulnerable woman instead. Double betrayal.
From Crime Vault Magazine, we are calling it straight: COPS SHOULD BE HELD TO HIGHER STANDARDS, NOT LOWER. When someone with a badge commits this evil, the punishment needs to hit harder than for anyone else. No probation passes for predators in uniform — real prison time, lifetime registry, and zero mercy.
