Family of Murder Victim in Puerto Rico Demands Investigation into Attorney for Alleged Witness Tampering
San Juan, Puerto Rico — The family of Cristiandranath Medina Tirado, who was murdered in November 2023, is calling for a formal investigation into Attorney Roberto Padua Irrizary for allegedly pressuring witnesses in the case.
According to the family, Attorney Padua Irrizary, who is representing one of the individuals linked to the murder, reportedly tried to influence key witnesses by pressuring them to change or suppress their testimony.
Cristiandranath Medina Tirado was killed on November 14, 2023, after he intervened to defend his best friend during a violent confrontation. Despite the existence of video evidence and multiple witnesses, the victim’s family claims the judicial process has been plagued by irregularities, and justice has yet to be served.

“We want this lawyer to be investigated. We will not allow anyone to manipulate or pressure witnesses in my son’s case,” family members have stated publicly.
The family is urging the relevant authorities — including the Puerto Rico Bar Association (Colegio de Abogados), the Department of Justice, and potentially federal agencies — to open an official investigation against Attorney Roberto Padua Irrizary for possible witness tampering, obstruction of justice, and violations of legal ethics.
Crime Vault Magazine will continue to monitor this case closely. Allegations of witness tampering are extremely serious and, if proven, could undermine the entire judicial process.
This situation raises broader questions about accountability within Puerto Rico’s justice system when attorneys are accused of interfering with witnesses.
