In a stunning closed-door grilling on Capitol Hill, former Attorney General Pam Bondi unleashed harsh criticism of Ghislaine Maxwell, declaring the convicted sex trafficker “more evil” than Jeffrey Epstein’s male accomplices and stating she deserves to die behind bars.
Bondi, who was recently ousted from her position as Attorney General and is now battling thyroid cancer, appeared before the House Oversight Committee for a transcribed interview investigating the DOJ’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files. Sources close to the session say the 60-year-old former AG did not hold back when discussing Maxwell’s role in the infamous sex trafficking operation.
According to Assistant Attorney General Harmeet Dhillon, who attended the hearing alongside Bondi, the former top law enforcement official singled out Maxwell for special condemnation.
“Females who collaborate with sex offenders are worse because they procure other victims for the sex offender,” Dhillon relayed Bondi’s remarks to the New York Post. Bondi reportedly described Maxwell as “very evil” for betraying her own sex by luring underage girls into Epstein’s web.
Maxwell’s Prison Transfer Raises Eyebrows
The comments come amid lingering questions about Maxwell’s treatment while in federal custody. During Bondi’s tenure as Attorney General, Maxwell was transferred to a minimum-security facility after agreeing to an interview with then-Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche. The move sparked speculation that Maxwell may have struck a deal with the Trump administration.
Bondi was fired by President Trump on April 2 and replaced by Blanche as acting AG. She appeared at Friday’s hearing with a visible bandage on her neck following treatment for thyroid cancer.
No New Arrests Despite “Client List” Claims
Early last year, Bondi publicly stated that Epstein’s client list was “sitting on my desk right now,” promising a full review. However, no significant new arrests have emerged from that effort, drawing sharp criticism from both sides of the aisle.
Democrats on the committee, including Rep. Melanie Stansbury and Rep. Robert Garcia, accused Bondi and the DOJ of orchestrating a “cover-up.” Garcia noted that Bondi refused to answer questions involving President Trump and claimed she had no knowledge of why Maxwell was moved to lower security.
Bondi reportedly blamed “redaction errors” in the released Epstein files on a process she delegated to Todd Blanche, whom she later praised on social media as having “ethics beyond reproach.”
House Oversight Committee Chairman James Comer promised transparency, stating the panel would release transcripts of the interview and warning that lying to Congress is a felony. He emphasized the government’s repeated failures to deliver justice for Epstein’s victims across multiple administrations.
Several Epstein survivors were present at the Capitol during the private session.
Melania Trump Denies Epstein Ties
The Epstein scandal continues to ripple through Washington. Last month, First Lady Melania Trump held a press conference denying any close relationship with the deceased financier, stating she met Donald Trump at a New York party in 1998 — not through Epstein — and calling for Congress to hold public hearings focused on survivors.
The Epstein case, which has captivated the public for years with its web of powerful connections, remains a lightning rod. Maxwell is currently serving a 20-year sentence for her role in recruiting and grooming minors for Epstein, who died by suicide in 2019 while awaiting trial.
Crime Vault Magazine will continue to follow developments in this case as more transcripts and details from Bondi’s interview are expected to be released. The survivors of Epstein and Maxwell’s crimes deserve answers — and accountability.
